I’ve found that most conversations about dreams tend to focus on the distant future. We dream about what our lives will be in 5 years or 10 years or maybe even one year… But have you ever dreamt about what your life will be this month? No?
Don’t feel bad, most of us don’t either! We are so busy focusing on the future that we forget to live and dream for now as well. But I’ve created a plan to get us out of that trap and put us on a mission to dreaming our whole lives through!
So each month I will create a monthly dream list so I can live my best life now even as I prepare for the dreams of my future. This list could be tasks that contribute to my long term goals or just things to help me explore my environment, learn more about people, make me smile and keep me happy.
Each monthly Dream List will have 10 simple tasks. 8 new tasks enveloped by the two constants; #1 – read a new book and #10 – be kind to yourself. The possibilities are endless and I am excited to go on this journey! Will you join me?
Here are the tasks for October
- Read 1 new book
- Complete a task that you’ve been working on for over a month
- Track one habit daily
- Write a positive review of something
- Wake up 15 minutes earlier every day
- Reach out to someone you haven’t seen in over 5 years
- Donate something you don’t use
- Watch something you’ve been meaning to watch
- Give a stranger a compliment
- Be kind to yourself
